What with all of them tumbling out. I was approached by a few people in my local Dem office asking me to consider running for a State Rep spot but I'm really hesitant for that very reason. It really stinks. You have to be a choirboy/girl to run for anything anymore. Pretty soon there will be no one left who can campaign for anything.

Ya know, I'm almost positive I don't have anything close to major, but it does takes some thought and reflection, doesn't it.

I wonder if any of the candidates who run and get into trouble with past skeletons ever realized they even had them until someone else digs them up after it's too late. Then when it happens, they might say to themselves, "Oh shit, I forgot about that!"

You know, it's never made any sense to me. I would rather have someone in public office who had some experience with the way the world works, who has made mistakes and learned from them, who has been in the trenches so to speak, than someone who has lived their life in a bubble, unexposed to reality. But that seems to frighten most people. I mean, what do most politicians out there have in common with the majority of Americans? Not much.

...in the thread someone posted about advice for her daughter who was arrested. Was more just a bystander in the wrong car with the wrong crowd, but I have to live with it.

Also, I was born overseas so I could never run for President, anyway, especially as I don't plan on taking steroids, making breathtakingly stupid movies, or giving cover to the repukes by posing as some sort of "moderate."
