Idea for a new game. "Who said this, a member of the third reich or the
bush administration?" I will start. "In my judgment, this new paradigm renders obsolete Geneva's strict limitations on questioning of enemy prisoners and renders quaint some of its provisions..." (it's easy because the Geneva Convention was created on Aug. 12, 1949.) Here is another one: "Whoever has experienced war at the front will want to refrain from all avoidable bloodshed." and another from the same source,"Who says I am not under the special protection of God?" Who said these quotes and do you have any quotes for me?

1. OK, here goes:
"...it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship..."

Who has a guess? Anyone? Anyone? Anyone?

11. History class didn't cover it.
The establishment doesn't want the obvious comparisons being made, even in the 1970's.

9. Now that could have been said by the bushies but they are too secretive
to have revealed that much truth. Smart person, you.

17. Who said anything about actually getting a diploma?
I want to go to the classes, learn things, get into discussions, attend lectures, give lectures, read and write books, watch documentaries, narate documentaries...
The diploma thing is something I have to do if I want to make money at it; I wish I had enough money/secure enough income that I didn't have to worry about it.

8. The first one's from a bushbot, I guess
and the second two from A. Hilter.

How about this: "I have in the course of my political struggle won much love from my people, but when I crossed the <-----> frontier there met me such a stream of love as I have never experienced. Not as tyrants have we come, but as liberators."

13. One of my faves, "That's an historical document."
Not sure it is exact but it always blows me away as anything written more than a week ago could be considered "historical".

24. Here's a dilly:
"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."
