Poll question: Would you get, or have you ever gotten, cosmetic surgery?
There are some instances, of course, where someone needs cosmetic surgery - to repair damaged skin from burns, for instance. But would you ever receive unnecessary cosmetic surgery?

3. I would
But then again I have bad burn scars on my left arm. That's the only reason I'd get it though.

5. No. Cosmetic surgery is stupid.
I regard those who do get cosmetic surgery as incredibly shallow individuals, unless they happen to be deformed or disfigured in some way.

8. I'd pay to get my breasts lifted and my stretchmarks removed, maybe...
Edited on Wed Dec-01-04 01:21 AM by tjdee
If I had enough money and no other outstanding bills, I certainly would consider it. But I think I'd always find a better use for the money. Seems kind of silly--though I do hate the stretchmarks and saggy dog ears (thanks Kate Winslet) and doubt I'll find a man who will find that hot.

As for work on my face, oh no. I always think of Jocelyn Wildenstein, who went from quite pretty here (1st pic):

10. Yeah, I couldn't copy/paste it, isn't that scary!
She just couldn't stop, I wonder what she *really* thinks when she looks in the mirror.

Man.

11. That is frightening. Almost as much as the one of Betty Ford after
her "cosmetic surgery". She looked like a freak, and NOTHING like her old self.

Now, a boob job for a woman who has nursed kids for years is one thing. Fuckin' with your facial features is entirely another. Don't ever forget Michael Fuckin' Jackson.

12. That was scary,
But I would like to try out Botox. Except my insurance doesn't cover it. My Dermotologist who's treating my squamous cell ( I have it all over my arms & legs from years in the sun) does it in her office. Maybe next year.

14. Only if I got in a horrible schmelting accident
that disfigured my body in some way. Then I might have reconstructive plastic surgery.
