14. You know, I hate this culture of paranoia

I had it under Reagan and Bush The First. Never felt it under Clinton.

When I come home, and hit the garage door opener, and the door doesn't respond, I think, "Well, they've finally locked me out of the apartment" instead of "Oh, need to hit the button again."

Always suspicious, always paranoid (not severely, obviously) but always wondering - when will it happen? It's really rather stressful.

15. I get that way when cars pull up in front of our house, even if it is

just to let another car by. When we came back from our trip to WI this weekend, I knew someone had been in my house. Ever had that feeling? It ended up being my dad but still, it makes me sad that my dad is not my first thought anymore when I get that feeling.
