US Currency Was Redesigned To Help Prevent Counterfeiting... BUT... |
|
if the old currency is still legal tender, wouldn't the counterfeiters just continue to use the OLD plates?
Just wondering.

It will raise eyebrows if someone uses it. It's kind of like finding a wheat penny...very rare. Only, wheat pennies aren't as obvious as the cash difference.

5. I went to an ATM a few days ago, pulled out $200 |
|
All of it was old-style $20 bills (pre-multi-colored bill, but after the first-remodel). Every one of the bills was brand new and sequentially numbered. I still have $80 worth in front of me.

6. I Think Australia's Folding Currency Is Very Cool... It's Plastic/Mylar... |
|
and it has clear "windows" in it as well.
Is it just my imagination... or does Australia have a banknote that honors a prostitute? Maybe it's some other country.
