Foreign language word processing question |
|
I need to get some accents for an essay I wrote in Spanish. I can't get MS Word Perfect to place the accents how I want them. Does anyone know how I can get the accents in the paper?

|
it might be hidden, like shift-sroll lock, but it's gotta be there somewhere.
but then, if they make it too hard to find....

10. If you have a Dell Inspiron 7000, it has an embedded numeric keypad |

but the long way is taking forever and I just may do it the ghetto way and write the accents in by hand.

12. According to Dell, your 1100 does have a number lock key |
|
Edited on Thu Dec-02-04 12:33 AM by koleszar
"If the number lock is turned on, then the keys on the right side of the keyboard will map to numbers. " I believe it is the key that says F11 or FN. Here is the Dell info: http://delltalk.us.dell.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=insp_input&message.id=22626&query.id=224036#M22626

3. you can also use the character map |
|
it's under start->programs->accessories->system tools->character map.
might be slightly different depending on your windows version.
with the character map, you can select the characters you want and then copy/paste them into your document.
the alt+ suggestion is much faster, but the character map gives you a vastly larger character set to choose from.
go with alt+ where possible, use the character map as a fallback.
