A thread about last night's epsisode of Lost? |
|
I thought it was great. The ending and the preview of next week's episode blew me away. Does anyone have any theories? This show just gets better and better each week. My wife has only caught about one and half episodes but whenever she catches bits and pieces she finds herself engrossed in it despite having only the most basic knowledge of the premise and characters.

1. My brother-in-law is great a exposing plot |
|
He thinks that they all died in the crash and it's all just a dream or they all died and this is exploring the idea of limbo. This is the best show on TV or at least best non-reality show. Kind of hard to compare the two types of show.

3. I've heard the dead theory quite a bit...not sure... |
|
I really hope that's not it. I think it would be a cop out.
Entertainment Weekly has a good article on the show this week.
The only complaint I have about the plot is the whole beach versus cave thing. My issue is that the people on the beach are staying there in case they see a plane or a boat to rescue them that they won't see at the caves. But why not just set up a look out. Would the people on the beach really just leave with a rescue boat or plane without telling them about the people in the caves?

that would just ruin the show for me. I love this show. It is the one show I make time to watch. My favorite parts are the flashbacks to give you info on the characters before the crash. The psychic thing was creepy last night.

6. I agree that totally creeped me out. But, the previews |
|
creeped me out even more once I realized that Ethan was the bad guy in "In the Bedroom." If you haven't seen that movie, it is worth renting. Be prepared, it is not a feel good movie. When I left the theater, nobody was talking at all just silence in the good way. It is very thought provoking.

I do think Kate is going to die, the island will rejuvanate her and as long as she stays on the island she stays alive..which is how they will resolve the fact that if they are rescued she goes to jail...
I think the *others* (Ethan, etc, not the plane passengers) are all people who did die and have rejuvanated.....

I can't ever resist spoilers, so I was a little spoiled on the fact that there was someone there who didn't come on the plane. And I had heard that Claire and Charlie got kidnapped. I didn't know anything about Claire's back story, though. The whole psychic storyline gave me chills. I've got chills just thinking about it now. What exactly is so horrible about Claire's baby being raised by another that the psychic would intentionally put her on a doomed plane? :scared:

Alexander? The son of the French woman?
Did the other members of her group come back to life (ala Jacks dad) and is he really dead and dear mama doesn't realize or wont admit it?
