The New Car Color "Patriot Green" Christ, Barf! Alert
Just got back from Publix (Supermarket).

While in the parking lot, getting ready to leave, This New Saturn pulls in (with Temp Tag) and I thought my Eyes would fall out.
It was painted in that Gorgeous color "Army Drab Olive Green".

I'll tell you fellow DU'ers..I've seen some ugly F*cking colors on automobiles but this one gets the crown jewel. It had all the beauty of a 5 year old Army Jeep.

I'm not married but if my spouse came home with that POS...SHE'D be sleeping on the couch for awhile...:)

3. And then there's that taxi cab yellow
But for that 'patriotic' color...I guess we could refer to it as gang green.

4. Combat flashbacks, anyone?
Imagine this scene:
Newly discharged Marine veteran opens fire on SUV full of toddlers and their mother after mistaking the vehicle as enemy combatant. Saturn promises new models to come in urban camouflage to help hide cars from emotionally disturbed troopers!

5. nothing like conformity
and one more reason that Europeans have more style than we do:

The brits give us British Racing Green:

We get Saturn Army Drab. hm. is this why Americans look funny in pink oxfords?

6. So are they calling olive drab "Patriot Green"?

They should have gone with a "Patriot Blue," usually known as "Federal Blue" and seen in Early American decor, which is a decent color. "Stars 'n; Stripes Red" would be good, too.

Best to stay away from camo colors and "Body Bag Black." Or "George W. Bush's Spine Yellow."

8. Too many dittoheads would follow the vanilla ice cream coming out
of the "voice in their head"'s ass and protest the idea that Blue could even remotely be considered "Patriotic" . . .
