4. Formula One is WAY more interesting than any oval racing.
And keep in mind that last season sucked. 2003, on the other hand, blew my socks off.

6. how is it more interesting?
sure, the driving may look more technical, and there are more curves, but no one ever actually passes anyone. and the winner is the guy who staerted the season with the most money. I'm suprised more republicans don't like it.

7. umm... my parents hung out in gordon's nascar garage...
i was surprised to learn that they're very clean, like you can eat off the floor. guess this shows how little of a nascar fan i am, but my dad's worked with GM as an engineer for over 30years and he gets free tickets. NOTE! my parents aren't nascar fans, but my dad will forever be in love with cars.

10. I grew up in racing. I've seen lots of interesting races.
Loved the train races, figure 8 and of course the crashes. Of course racing is always more interesting if you know a racer of have a favorite. I didn't see this race, but the best story ive heard was of a race where the man only needed to finish the race in order to take the season Championship. Swear to God the car died on the fourth turn. He got out and pushed the car over the finish line with the help of his crew.

11. I'm a NASCAR fan.
I watched most of the races this season. I've seen dozens of thrilling race finishes. Many where the leader ran out of fuel on the last lap.

You wann'a know why the Dems keep losing? It's because of ignorant posters like this who denigrate a large swath of the country. This type of condescension causes the swing voters to ignore their own best economic interests and vote for the likes of *. We need to put a sock in this type of behavior if we plan to have a chance of ever regaining the majority.

12. whoa there killer, this is a "copycat thread"
of a thread called "I have this friend who's an ER doctor, he's seen a few interesting races." and it's not my fault that none of my friends like nascar. also, i never denigrated nascar fans in my post. and, on a final note, "putting a sock in this kind of behavior" on a left-leaning message board will not win over any nascar voters IMHO...
