We all love A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS and HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS, but no one's nose has shined longer or brighter than that of the RANKIN/BASS "Animagic" classic RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER.

Premiering on NBC December 6th, 1964, RUDOLPH has become the longest running, highest rated television special in the history of the medium.

2. With or without my sister's favorite scene?

In the original Rudolph Dasher tells his wife and Rudolph's girlfriend that it "Was Man's work" to look for Rudolph. This scene was cut in later showings of the show but my sister always thought it was stupid to cut the Scene.

In the Scene Dasher makes his sexist comment and THAN THE FEMALES GO OUT AND LOOK ANYWAY. The Statement was sexist BUT THE SCENE WAS ANYTHING BUT SEXIST. My Family always thought the effort to effort to remove the sexist line "Stupid" but in more recent years I am being to think the problem was NOT the Sexist line, but the Does reactions to it. The feminist actions of the Does in IGNORING what Dasher said may have been the real reason the Scene was cut.
