moving and overwhelmed with how much needs to be done between
now and saturday morning - my body is beat - I have not moved and lifted so much in years - I feel exhausted

and some stuff I just have to do myself - a friend helped some today but the wrapping of framed pictured - would not survive rough handling - so I need to redo - I have more breakables and things I just need to sort out - it is incredible -

yesterday I went to bed at 2:30 am and was up at 7:30am - and I had help today

Just too much stuff - so much is not everyday use stuff
5 boxes of train stuff
4 boxes of christmas stuff and I gave away two
5 boxes of frames, framed photo, or something to do with them
I haven't even started on the clothes

I have so many of smaller size - but don't have time to try on and see what fits and what doesn't and then I have stuff I paid lots for 10 years ago - that I hate to part with - because it is loverly but doesn't fit

I plan on losing weight - yada yada - but with all the exercise I have gotten this week - that could happen

Hard to pack your own stuff and then find people to help - I am trying to set up hiring some people from the homeless/rehab center - hope to have that confirmed tomorrow - they are people who are clean and sober and trying to start over - that is better than paying somebody big bucks -

called one place and they wanted 75 hour - I don't make that kind of money -

putting everything in storage....

just needed to post that I am overwhelmed - and how will I get it all done - I realized my butt even hurts - I hardly sat today -

going to bed soon - just needed to chat with some liberals

1. Eww I;ve moved 3 times in the past year
Once into our new house which I just left to my fiancee to take care of. I have a business to run and really didn't have time to do it.

And then I had to move the contents of 2 3000 SQ foot warehouses because some drug dealers moved into a trailer park across from the warehouse and we were broken into 4 times in 6 months.

It took a month to move those warehouses FULL of over 50,000 books (I own a bookstore) not fun at all.

What you can do is maybe hire some teenagers or some college students to help at like 7 or 8 dollars an hour...

Good luck!

3. I feel your pain
((((28erl)))

I moved earlier this year, and it wasn't fun at all. Thankfully, we didn't have any furniture to move as our last place was furnished. But it was still awful. The day of and the day after I was in so much pain, I couldn't even move. Our old apt. was on the third floor of the building. NO elevator, nothing but stairs. Nightmare!

The day we moved, I hired some kids in our former building. I offered them $20 to just haul boxes down to the truck. If it hadn't been for them I don't know what we would have done.

I love my dh with all my heart but he was NO help during the packing phase--and not much during the move actually. But he openly acknowledges this.

As organized as I thought I was, I learned so much that I will apply to the next time.

Vent more if you need to. I hear ya'... it will all be over soon. Hang in there.

I've spent the last 6 years moving, over and over again... I think you deserve a  and a nap! Hang in there, you will get through it!

7. Moving at midnight... sounds fun...
Glad you got some sleep, anyway. A massage sounds like a good treatment after the hassle! Enjoy it!
