The Temp Job That Lasted 60 Years
(Dallas--WABC, December 2, 2004) — Madeline Vaughn was looking for a temporary job when she went to work for the federal reserve bank in Dallas, Texas. She was 20 years old then, and FDR was the president.

Sixty years later, Madeline is still at the same job. She has become the longest serving employee in the entire Federal Reserve system.

Madeline is retiring on December 31st, and she plans to make her last day at work the same as the first.
