I need a new vacuum cleaner. No more Orecks (R-Bushmoonie) for me. |
|
Anyone know a good quality vacuum (D-Bushloather) that works well on hardwood floors?

4. We've easily spent $800 in the last 10 years on vacuums and bags. |
|
Next time, we vow to get something more substantial than a Hoover or a Dirt Devil.

6. I know several people who love their Dysons. |
|
Seems pricey to me, but they say they are far worth it. Not only do they empty easily and not require bags, but they clean for better and easier than anything else they've had.

3. I don't know who they support |
|
But I sold Filter Queens in college and now own one myself. They have more sucking power than Rainbo, Kirby, etc. One of the demonstrations we did was to tie two knots in the hose then suck up a fifty caliber bullet with it. You could hear it zoom through the rubber hose before clanking into the tank.

8. That's wierd. Heard an Oreck commerical on Air America yesterday. |
|
At the time I was proud of having one! Oops!
Mine is a hand-me-down, though. I didn't buy it.

9. My wife swears by our Dyson. |
|
I find it a little clunky to maneuver, but it sure as heck picks up better than anything else we have ever had. Also, she bought it at eBay for a LOT less than $500. (I think it was around $300). And of course, the best part is no bags or filters.

I have purchased three Orecks over the past 13 years.
Fock them. Not one dollar more for Bushmoonies.

13. Just be sure there is a repair store for them nearby. That can |
|
be a problem if you should need work done on the machine and no one knows anything about it.
