unbelievably, i am the one who can sex a cat pretty quick. when my brother brought back a litter of 7 8 month old kittens, i sexed them all. 3 girls, 4 boys. a little kitten i met, had to let the person know-no, it's a boy. a kitten my dad caught where he worked-it's a boy!
how do people not know?

5. I think they're about eight weeks. |
|
I assumed they were both girls, I think because I wanted them both to be girls. We have six adult cats, and five are boys.
I can tell them apart because a girl has two little thingies in back, and a boy has three.

A boy kitten has a round hole and a girl kitten has a more elongated hole, it's very subtle and when they are as small as 8 weeks it's next to impossible to tell. It took me years to learn how to accurately sex little kitties. My oldest cat Fritz, whom I thought was a boy, turned out to be a girl. I kept the name Fritz though, because it fits her. And R. Crumb is pretty cool too. Love all your kitty posts by the way! Can't wait to see the pics. :hi:

7. I had a pretty good early clue about Skittles, the girl: She's a tortie. |
|
So I cheated.
Thanks, Gypsy. :hi:

My aunt has one... I found her at 5 weeks of age walking down the middle of the road. One of my aunts older cats had just died and she was looking for a new kitten and han't been able to find just the right one yet... I scooped her up and said, here is Laurels (my aunts name) new cat. Of course she loved her and she's been around now for 4 or 5 years. She named her "Twinkie"
On Edit: You are welcome Bertha! Anytime! I love all animals, but kitties hold a special place in my heart! :loveya:
