so I need a new one--it's torn. And one of my stop lights is gone. Her car, however, is totaled.

14. No. I don't think so..... |
|
but I feel sorry for the girl that hit me. When I ran back to see if she was okay, she looked like a deer in headlights. Both her airbags deployed (yeah) but the front of her car looks like an accordion. She's a young girl....I bet her parents are worried sick.

Whiplash can lead to severe neck problems if left untreated. You could even have a cracked vertabra and not know it. Best to be checked out.

29. Well. It really doesn't hurt that much. |
|
I think it's more stress than anything. I have full range of movement and my head doesn't hurt. But, if it isn't gone by tommorow, I'll go to the ER.

21. OK. My car is okay too. |
|
But the girls car is not. Anti freeze all over the road, deployed airbags, steam coming from under the crinkled hood. Yikes!. She's okay, though. Just dazed. I'm glad I have a heavy car---was thinking about getting a Volkswagon next. Now, I don't know.

23. Bummer! Keep An Eye On The Neck |
|
If the pain's not excrutiating, and not getting worse, give it a few days. The accident causes some tension that could be causing the soreness. In addition, the moment before impact you could have tensed up and then pulled something slightly due to the jolt. (That's what happened to me when i was broadsided. Sore for a couple days, but then nothing.)
But, something like that should subside quickly. So, if after a couple of days it still hurts, see a doc. The Professor

I think you're right. It's not the kind of pain that is excrutiating. I think it's mostly tension. If it keeps up, I'll have it seen about. I'm just shook up. I've never had a car accident before--never even been involved in one.

I take alot of accident reports,(insurance agent) its normal to have some stiffness and aching, but do go to a doctor right away if tylenol and a hot bath don't help.

33. Speaking Form Personal Experience... |
|
...you should have gone right to the E/R at the time of the accident. Call your insurance company and tell them you feel you need to be checked out, and get yourself over to the E/R NOW. There may be a problem they can spot quickly, and going there right now will help you legally if it comes to that.
And since the other driver was obviously at fault, I'd talk to an attorney ASAP. I've been in three accidents in teh past four years - none of which were my fault. An attorney will help you.
If you want to, you can PM me for more info.
