Songs by "warbling divas" Mariah, Celine Dion and Whitney Houston top the chart of music which makes girls dump boyfriends.

One in four women claimed in a survey they would give their man the elbow if they were given a CD packed with their big-voiced ballads.

But one in two women said they were attracted to someone because of their musical taste.

Digital broadcaster Music Choice questioned 20,000 fans.

Marketing director Simon George said: "Many people see music as an indicator of how well you know them.

"Getting it wrong can have dire consequences for a relationship."
