Shocker! Bonds uses/used steroids also....
Edited on Fri Dec-03-04 12:19 PM by fryguy
C'mon. Look at his physical differences over time. Even accounting for age growth and working out, you can't tell me that he NATURALLY got that big?

then

now

But, unlike Giambi, he at least can temporarily cling to the "I didn't know they were steroids story...."

Mr. Selig, for the sake of the game and the health of the players...DO SOMETHING NOW!!!!!

4. screw it. let's just make steroids mandatory in professional sports
just think, we could have puffed up steroid mutants running around swinging bats or hitting each other.

They all seem to want to cheat anyway, let's just accelerate the concept to it's obvious conclusion. lol

10. wasn't there a gatorade commercial that elluded to that
something about in the future basketball hoops being 50 feet high and guys dunking on them, and football fields being a mile long....or something like that? maybe they weren't making referencing steriods, but it rings a bell....

6. Not Barry!
That was all from working out in the gym, don't you know anything? In the article that was in my daily paper, Conte defended himself by explaining that "it's not wrong if everyone is doing it." Great logic, huh?

7. tbh his size isn't why I knew he was on steroids..
my dh is the same way..and he never used steroids..

difference is my dh started having injury probs related to earlier injuries in his mid twenties...and by his mid thirties could no longer participate in even recreational sports.

To me the "proof" that Bonds was using steroids was his lack of injuries and his ability to continue playing even w/back probs....

9. Mr. Selig's hands are tied to a great extent
Steroid testing & punishment is a "term and condition of employment". That is a legal term of art that means it must be negotiated with the union. Baseball has a very strong union. If the union will not negotiate tougher standards, the only recourse is a lockout by management.

If the union wants to play ball (like they did last time) then tougher testing will start. Until then, nothing.

(BTW, baseball has an anti-trust exemption, not an exemption from labor law).
