Did anyone have any weird dreams shortly before 9/11/2001?
Edited on Fri Dec-03-04 02:51 PM by The Night Owl
On the morning of 9/11/2001, I dreamt I was on a plane, and it was wildy climbing and diving to avoid hitting grassy hillsides. I awoke to the phone ringing. I answered and it was my girlfriend telling me that a plane, or something, had hit the WTC building. Creepy.

I am not a believer of paranormal occurrences, but my dream on 9/11 really got me wondering.

Did anyone else have have any weird dreams shortly before 9/11?

4. Actually, you might not like my avatar if you knew who it represents.
In fact, even I don't like my avatar. Well, what I should say is that I don't like the people who my avatar represents, but I co-opted it because I like it graphically.

Your assignment: See if you can find out what my avatar is from.

2. I had a dream many years ago, a recurring dream about the
end of the world where buildings fell just like 9-11. I dreamed it over and over.

3. um, actually I did some
blotter back in 1974. I lived in Staten Island and had an apt in the St. George area with a primo view of Lower Manhattan.

At about 2AM I looked out the window to see what looked like the WTC gone, with fog and mist swirling about, and I could see the buildings in back of the WTC. The WTC towers were just *not there* at all.

As the sun rose and I ebbed, the WTC towers were back. But my vision was such a surreal scene that I never forgot it.

The photos from the night of 9/11/01 look *exactly* like my 1974 vision.

8. No, but
I developed an unnatural fear of planes in the months leading up to 9/11, which was very odd, considering I love planes. After the day, it stopped. Weird stuff.

11. Yes, I did.
I dreamed that I was wandering through the streets of a place that was cold, dark, and gray, with huge buildings all around me. Then I heard screaming, wailing, and agonizing cries of horror and pain. I looked down, and blood was running in the streets, flowing like water.

This was on the night of 9/9/01.

15. No dreams, but....
All summer, I kept thinking that it had been "slow" in terms of news, which didn't seem right. I remember saying "Something big is going to happen" to my husband. It seemed too...quiet. I kept visualizing the cover of Time magazine, for some reason.

16. No but I couldnt sleep at all
I actually stayed home from work that day because I had been unable to get to sleep at all the night before. I had a very panicked and uneasy feeling that made me too uncomfortable to ever get to sleep. I had had a few other incidences with insomnia but this was more intense.

I finally fell asleep right around the time the first plane hit. Within minutes I got a phonecall about what had happened.

It was strange
