I saw The Police at the Scope in Norfolk, Va. It rocked. It was the first concert I ever went to and yes it was the Synchronicity tour. I also saw The Ramones at the Boathouse and that was unbelievable.:headbang:

10. In Miami, 1978 or 79 - The Oh No it's Devo! Album
Also: Psychedelic Furs, Midnight Oil, Eurythmics, Ramones (DC, 1982 or 83), PIL, Genesis (post-Peter), and many, many more.

There are so many that I wish I had seen that I didn't though. But that's a whole other thread...

5. Slade, Skids, Clash, Buzzcocks, Led Zep,
Ultravox, (the John Foxx fronted set, not the Midge Urinal drivel) The Jam, Eddie and the Hot Rods. All are bands that no longer exist as you probably all know.

23. They were great here in the Bay Area 2 years ago
But, Damn, Keith Richards is REALLY ugly up close! He looks like he is 4-5 days in the casket - w/o the touch-ups. We were in the 3rd row on the catwalk. A friend w/ waaay too much $$ invited us.

24. They were wonderful.
We even had box seats. A friend of my parents was a Hollywood press agent....represented Jack Benny and had lots of contacts. My parents knew I really wanted to see the Beatles ...and were indulgent. They asked the friend if he knew anyone, and he scored tickets. My parents didn't pay a cent.

I took a girlfriend to the concert and my parents drove us down there, then spent the evening drinking at the Stockyards Inn (all of this is long gone, of course).

As we were leaving a bit after most of the concert-goers had left, we followed a big bus with darkened windows going onto the expressway. In fact, my father (having a few tipples under his belt) followed the bus all the way up northwest to O'Hare...where it went into the private aviation area (corporate planes). Please understand that this was some distance from where we lived.

But we had suspicions about the bus. Someone on the bus had noticed us following them. As the bus pulled into the private aviation part of the airport (limited access) someone leaned out of the bus window and waved at us.

It was George Harrison. A great moment in my teenage-hood -- I was 15 at the time.
