it's 03:30 over here...here are some nice aerial pics
of Scotland...hundreds actually. The snow scenes are gorgeous and mountain walkers will like this site I'm sure...please don't use a d/load manager and suck the bandwidth up. Meanwhile I'm off to my scratcher.

1. I've been in the Highlands both in May and September....
There is always snow on some of the peaks. Beautiful country.

But ... and I am of Irish ancestry.

The sea, O the sea, a gradh gheal mo chroidhe.
Oh long may you roll between England and me,
God help the poor Scotsmen - they'll never be free
But we're entirely surrounded by Water!

3. Yes, there is always snow up around Aviemore. Beautiful scenery.
And that is a big ski resort, as I recall. I've been to Inverness 3 times. One time went to Skye (for the day, in a big downpour), and another time spent several days on the Isle of Lewis.

Traveling around Lewis was interesting. I don't drive stick shift and you could not rent an automatic car anyplace I found. There was an Englishman staying at my guesthouse who was willing to drive around with me and could drive stick....except that he had left his driver's license at home. So we took what buses were available.
