What would you do if the whole Internet is shuts down? |
|
I'd be free for one thing..but the information & time and effort would be lost.
hmmm..Can the whole Internet be shut off? or is it made of multiple servers..but is the Internet controlled by satellites?
i just confused myself.

besides, at this point there's much corporate interest in the internet. even the banana republicans wouldn't dare shut it down.
monitor it, now, that's another story....

5. What about overloads? When one server goes down, that only puts more |
|
strain on the remaining servers.

10. there are always performance issues |
|
and a widespread "denial of service" attack is probably the internet's biggest vulnerability, as far as trying to attack the whole thing.
still, that would require quite an impressive attack on multiple, well protected sites, and would probably not succeed for more than a few hours.

But they will probably shut the internet off at the ISP. Well, I would love to leave the country, and it is looking closer everytime something comes out of Washington.

If you mean permanently well with everyone & thing depending on it I'd find that almost an impossible scenario.

this is the main monitoring programme>>> http://compnetworking.about.com/cs/carnivore/If you are worried that your e-mail might be intercepted, here are two encryptation proggies. Kremlin is easiest to use but PGP is better. Requires that both sender and recipient have the software installed. Both utilities have additional privacy features>>> http://www.pgp.com/http://www.kremlinencrypt.com/
