1. taking the day off work today

I don't feel so great. I have had no energy for the past two days, and that despite eight hours of sleep last night.

I don't know what's wrong, but I hope it clears up.

3. I get off work in less than an hour

and I'm hoping that Daisy and I are going to stay in the big city of Cow-lumbus tonight and do some shopping tomorrow. We have to go home first and pack and plug in the dog's water dish. I've just been letting it freeze overnight and pouring hot water in it in the morning.

That is about as big as our plans ever get. We only get 36 hours off every other weekend.

6. Last night we went out with an old colleague

of my husband's. Had some dinner at Old Chicago, tossed back a couple of White Russians at a dance club downtown, got hit on twice will going to and from the ladies' room, stayed out too late, and just generally had a good time. I wonder if the other women there were jealous because I had two such good looking dates. :P

Today, my husband and our teenager are out Christmas shopping, amidst much mystery and whispering. When they get back, hubby and the little kids and I will go grocery shopping and possibly to visit Santa if those hive-looking things disappear from my daughter's face (could she possibly be allergic to maple candy?). Tonight, we'll goof around, watch some TV, maybe make some Russian teacakes, and play it by ear.

Supposed to snow tomorrow. It's snowed three times already this year (it's early for that), but none of the snow stuck.
