Who here is interested in a DU Group for UCC members? |
|
I propose that we srart a DU group for United Church of Christ members. I've noticed a lot of people coming out of the woodwork in the last few days, and I think it would be a great idea to have a place for us to talk (and not just specifically about the stillspeaking ads, but about church, faith, life, Jesus, Vishnu, Buddha, etc.).
The group proposal, message statement, mission, whatever I propose is this: The United Church of Christ group exists for members of the UCC, and only members of the UCC, to discuss issues pertinent to them, whether it be ecclesial and specific to the UCC, or general faith matters, or matters of how we apply our faith to our lives.
Who cares to join in?? Can I get ten starred UCC members to sign on?

1. Maybe one that mixes UCC and Unitarians? |
|
They do have a different theology, but work together a lot and it could be a good mix perhaps?

2. We'll send this around again |
|
and sorry to the other one, but I'd rather have just a UCC group.

I just had the same thought myself the other day. I think the networks' refusal of our ad is a blessing in disguise: we couldn't buy publicity this good.

4. Especially since CBS decided not to show it, |
|
but then showed it repeatedly during their story on their morning show.
HA HA HA!
