Ok Xbox players, What did you think of Halo 2?

I thought it was a good game and enjoyed some of the new features. All in all, I found it less than satisfying because I thought it was just a little too easy.

Good game, but I prefer Halo.

Your thoughts?

1. single player; eh

like you said, too easy. BUT...multiplayer, i really like 2. it just seems to even the odds; i like the levels better, and the different weapons combos. all in all, i like both about the same, in different situations

3. I like the multiplayer in the first game better

In terms of single-player I liked Halo 2 better, but then again I found the original's single-player so tedious that I never even beat it. I LOVED Halo's multiplayer, however. It had a good pace and small games that made teamwork very important, and more mid range combat. Halo 2 just seems to be much more run'n'gun and quake-like. The addition of x-box live is nice of course, but since I live in an 11 story dorm hooked up to a single network I never had a problem finding games for Halo. All in all I have to say that I prefer the original, although Halo 2 is certainly a fine game.

4. that is true about run n gun

its really hard to find good snipe spots; everything has multiple back entrences, and no one spot covers much ground. still, the battle rifle keeps mid range combat in there

it's fun, but it's not the bombshell i was expecting.
