Computer help: I have an "Aolascd" Error message won't go away
It freezes my machine when I want to shut down or restart. How do I get rid of it?

1. Googling "Aolascd" gives ONE hit. I've never seen something
like that before. And it's in German.

The only term I recognize is Spybot. I can't tell whether they're saying that Spybot will get rid of it or what. But, I use Spybot regularly and haven't had any problems for well over a year.

I'd suggest getting Spybot and running it.

3. Yes, I usually run both, just to be sure.
They take care of most all spyware, as far as I can tell anyway.

There is a translate button on Google. So, I clicked it.
Have had a few beers here, which helped make the
translation hilarious. Anyway, if you can get anything
out of it,,, here it is:

My first question if I the computer after Spware scanne and it finds something it is then reset or only in Quaraentaene set? That would cost me with the time a heap storage location. 5. You could try to delete...
AOLascd.exe if that resides on your hard drive. Do you use AOL? And if you delete that and restart does it come back?

6. Do you use AOL?
It's part of AOL. Reinstall if you can't get rid of it.

8. Is something going on on this thing?
I run the spy-ware stuff, as told. and it picks up 40 or 50 a day now. Up to last week it as like 6 to 20 a day. Also this thing just stopped 10 times a day and it has been going nice for a long time. I am not doing a thing I have not been doing for a year. The company did come out and do something on the street as it said we had such low power it wondered how we even had been on line all this time.
