The average prisoner's cell is larger than my dorm room.
And I don't even get my own toilet like they do.

I'm watching an MSNBC documentary on prison life, and they showed a scene of this one guys prison cell, and he was saying "imagine your bathroom with a bunk and a window and TV in it. That's my cell." Well, I was looking at it, and wasn't impressed at the smallness of the cell at all, cause that guy was living in at least 18x10 surroundings, and I'm living in a 17x8 chamber.

I swear to God, I'm gonna apply to move into that new apartment complex on campus next year. I'm getting real sick of living in a space that's smaller than a prison cell. Last fall when I first entered this room, I was like, "This is it???".

I feel bad that I'm living in a room smaller than a prison cell. The only difference is that I'm a free man, and can come and go as I please.

1. Do you have the same room I did ? lol
Because thats exactly what I said when I first walked into my dorm room during Freshman year . I too was like " This is it ??? " and then I was like " just forget it ... let's drive over to Carolina and see if I can beg for last minute enrollment ... "

My room was the smallest in the dorm . It was right under the stair case , so I constantly heard people coming and going up and down the stair case . And being that the room was too small , my roommate and I hated each other .

4. I'm 4F.
I was planning on joining the Air Force in high school until I got the letter back saying I'm disabled (Aspberger's, Tourette's).

And I share a 800 square foot space and a toilet with four other guys. I get to be real self-conscious taking a shit.

Now that Kaczynski is imprisoned his cell is bigger than his old digs, and he doesn't have to grow his own food anymore.

7. You must consider moving into an apartment
My freshman year I was stuck in a dorm room about that size with not one but two other people!!! (overcrowded state university) POW's got more space than me. Then the next year I was tripled still but in a bigger room which wasn't as bad. Finally this year my roomies and I got accepted into the new townhouse developments that they were building. Well they weren't ready when school began so I spent a month living on a friend's couch because I couldn't stay in the hotels that they were putting us up in because of the demands of my major. Well of course they didn't have time to complete ALL of the townhouses, so this semester I've been doubled in a single room with 7 others in a 6 bedroom townhouse.

The university said that our place will be ready by the beginning of the spring semester (I'll believe it when I see it) So when it is all said and done with I will get to enjoy 3 whole semesters living in a brand new house with my own room and only 3 other roommates. It's always something with me when it comes to res life!!!

The shitty part about it all is they are no longer tripling up underclassmen because they don't want them to transfer, so now all the housing inconveniences will be placed on upperclassmen (because they know we won't leave) which sucks because we had to deal with all that crap as freshman and sophs and now we must deal with it again!!!

11. No. Luckily, I live in a single.
Thanks to some unusual lobbying on the part of my parents a couple years ago.
