11. Hi Seabiscuit...I'm up smoking...listening to boyfriend and friend

scream about politics. My question is: I need to quit smoking. How did you do it. I keep crying everytime i try. 39 in two weeks I need HELP! Thanks for any advice you have.

13. Hypnotism. After the first session

I dropped from a 2-pack a day habit to a 1/2 pack a day habit. About a year later I tried something new: during a hypnosis session, I would pull a cigarette out of a box of Marlboros, stare at it, and repeat to myself: "When I smoke you I am inhaling George Bush. He will inhabit my lungs as long as I continue to smoke." After a few sessions of this I just thought about that idea every time I lit up. Finally it sunk in enough that the idea of putting Bush in my lungs became so repulsive that I threw out my last pack of cigarettes and haven't touched one since.

Neither the patch nor nicorette gum ever worked for me.

So it's been cold turkey all the way.
