* A BIG THANK YOU FROM SKITTLES *
Thank you so much for all your kind words of support for me when my brother Glenn passed away shortly before Thanksgiving. I will never forget DU being there in my darkest hour - I received over 350 replies to my desperate plea, plus dozens of PMs with words of comfort, advice, and offers for assistance.

Here is possibly the first documented Skittles ass-kicking: I am 14 months old (Glenn is 11 months older). He had just called me FAT and I had smacked him on the arm - hard. For those of you who may be inclined to point out that I was indeed a fat toddler: DON'T. :D

Glenn's service in Illinois was simple and lovely and drew a big laugh with this line: "Glenn was a major Minnesota Vikings fan, and that takes a lot of faith and courage." :) It was very, very hard going to his house. I know everything has to go but it's like taking someone's life apart and knowing what a private person he was that was just so very difficult.

He will be dearly missed.

Skittles is officially back in ass-kicking mode. :hi:

when my mum was pregnant with the 3rd one Glenn and I stayed at our grandparents farm - they fed us goat milk straight out of a goat, plus lots of cookies and cake. I was much fatter than this when she picked me up - she said she cried when she saw me, I was so fat. :)

in the pic.

I know what you mean when you say it was hard going through your brother's house. I and my siblings had to do the same thing following my younger brother's death in July 2001. I felt like a vulture but I knew we had to do it because he rented and apartment and it had to be cleaned up.

May your brother Glenn's memory be for a blessing.

Now go out and kick some conservative ass!

I'll be working 6PM to 6AM tonight. I did go to work last Saturday night - couldn't stand pacing in my apartment one more day. They were doing major system modifications (real pains in the ass) and were already short some people - they were very surprised I showed up but I told 'em don't send me away, I'd like to have my mind taken off of things. That surely did the trick for a time when they assigned me some IPLs (bootint mainframes). :)

48. official reason
heart failure due to blood loss (aggravated by jaundice). Coroner thinks he gradually lost consciousness while trying to control a nosebleed. We will never know why he did not realize it was very serious. He had no alcohol in his system when he died; I believe he was very much a severe "binge drinker".

50. I just saw Glenn in Illinois two months ago
we took the train from Vernon Hills to Chicago and went all over - on the boats, Navy Pier, Shedd. I remember looking at the dolphins at Shedd for some time. There were dolphins on his urn. Then after the service I heard on the news a dolphin had died at Shedd. Still trying to figure that one out. :)

I thought Glenn looked pale and a little tired but I would never have guessed he was dying (corner said his liver was wasted).
