1. A Plymouth Valiant!!!
When I was going to DeVry Tech back in the Early '70s, a lot of the guys drove those. You just couldn't kill anything with a Slant 6 engine and a TouqueFlite trans. Chrysler never should have stopped making them, IMHO...

2. The car was a workhorse...
..we got it for $200 and it handled the island's hills like a champ. Damn pushbutton transmission finally freaked out, though, and all we had was reverse. Valiant = good. Pushbutton transmission = bad.

5. My Parents Had a '59 Plymouth
Like the taxicabs in "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World". Theirs was the same color as the one in this picture, only instead of being a four-door Plumouty Fury like the one in the picture, theirs was a two-door Plymouth Savoy.

With the pushbutton, two-speed PowerFlite transmission. It lasted until 1966 when the trans went. The rebuilt trans they had put in lasted about six months. They finally replaced it with a '67 Plymouth Fury wagon - with a three-speed manual column shift (3 on the tree). It was whhite, just like the old police car in the following picture:

9. Oh, man, I love the old Plymouths...
My family had an old '56. It looked like an elephant to me. I got to use it as the surf-moblie when I first got my license. On the column manual transmission and an interior that would stink to high heaven when it got wet.

10. Except I don't do housework...
...my house is a complete mess.

I do put the seat down, though. I was thoroughly whipped about that when I was a couple.

Yes, I am into the kids. Teaching has become my life.

12. 'Mess' is a negotiable term ...
... the interest and joy you get/give to the kids outweighs domestic habits, tenfold.
