Poll question: What are the chances of a Canada/Denmark war?
Relations are going sour. Canada may be closing its ports to Danish ships. And they're getting touchy trying to challenge our ownership of the North.

Should Canada invade Greenland?

1. real war or war as in talk nasty about each other ?
I've heard something about this but not too much so don't know the issues.

Maybe they could just badmouth each other and get over it.

5. Real war
It's all voer shrimp...and I don't blame us.

We had the same problems with Spain a few years back. And actually sent out our frigates.

These fucking European nations think they can just come and fish out our supplies like they've done to their own.

...down here with their farmed stuff. We're dealing with it through various trade sanctions though. Maybe Canada can try the same.

Some countries were dumping catfish so low it was being sold RETAIL for 50 cents a pound for nuggets. We got a stop put to that to protect our catfish, now it's more like $1.99 a pound for nuggets, which is fair.

There are legal mechanisms in place to deal with this, hope they work out for you.

On Edit -- it sounds like they are coming in and taking YOUR shrimp, fish, etc. Not quite the same as our issue, since at least the "bastards" in question were in fact raising their own shrimp or fish. But they were still "dumping" and engaging in unfair trade...and it is being dealt with. So I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Do our good friends of the north believe that there is "something rotten in Copenhagen?"

I have been looking through all of the latest breaking news and have found nothing.

Will some "goofball" let me in on this nonsense!

19. I've been advocating that very thing here at U of Toronto.
I've said that Canada should "liberate Greenland from the colonial tyrrany of Denmark", then annex the Turks and Caicos islands and declare the Canadian Empire.

Surprisingly, everyone's been pretty cool toward the idea.

;)

20. Invade Greenland?
What, wasn't Baffin Island barren enough for you?

In all honesty however, Greenland is really fantastic strategically, and has really cool geology (well along its iceless fringes that is...).
