A Woman Flashes and Taunts Fans at an 11-year-old's Hockey Game
Edited on Sun Dec-05-04 03:21 PM by Champ
TORONTO -- Reports that an irate hockey mom lifted her blouse, revealed her bra, and taunted fans of the opposing team by shaking her breasts -- at her 11-year-old's hockey game -- has the president of the league "aghast," the Toronto Star reported yesterday. "What prompts people to do these types of things?" said John Garder, head of the Greater Toronto Hockey League. "It's a little disturbing. We're talking 11-year-olds here."

The league has invited the woman to a special committee meeting Wednesday where disciplinary steps, such as banning her from arenas, will be considered.

The incident reportedly happened during a confrontation that erupted mostly between parents of players on two opposing minor pee-wee teams: the York Toros and Mississauga Terriers. The teams played Monday night in Mississauga, west of Toronto.

In a letter to the league, a parent who witnessed the alleged incident called it "unfortunate" and "disturbing."

"She lifted her top well above her breasts. (Wearing a bra) she shook (her breasts) side to side," the woman wrote.

Don't they know that when one is upset at sporting events they're supposed to start a bench-clearing brawl like we do down here in the states? Sheesh!

5. ...Maybe it's kind of an obscene, new style of objecting for women?...
..you know, kind of a "sister act" to guys grabbing their crotch, like Andy Sipowitz, NYPD Blue?

7. lol It's not just "up there."
My husband coached my stepson's team for three years and some of the crap I witnessed was enough to make my jaw drop. I witnessed two fistfights between parents and *way* too many in-your-face type arguments between parents of opposing players. Truly, the saddest things I witnessed, however, were the parents who belittled their kids when they made mistakes. I was running the scoreboard for a game once and a player got a penalty - it just so happened the man doing the door for the box that day was that player's father. That kid caught an earful as he sat there - this dad was screaming at this kid in the "what the fuck is wrong with you?!" manner until he noticed me gaping at him. He didn't stop but then got right up in his son's helmet and just kept going - only I couldn't hear anymore. I hated seeing that crap and it was standard fare.

I don't think I'll be letting either of my younger kids play junior hockey. It's way too intense for my tastes.

11. A few years ago, 2 fathers started fighting & one ended up dead.
This was at a kids' hockey game in the Boston area. It was a huge story on the news, went to trial, and I'm sorry but I don't remember the result of the trial.

14. True. Sad but true. How can we expect better from kids
when this is across the board behavior from their parents?

This is nuts. I have never heard of a woman shaking her breasts when she is irate. Are you sure this really happened?
