Poll question: WE'VE ADOPTED A NEW DOG! What should we name it?
Edited on Sun Dec-05-04 06:10 PM by ih8thegop
We ended up adopting a three-year-old lab/husky mix. She's still at the Humane Society because for some reason she have to keep her there until Thursday.

Her name is Swiftie, but the Humane Society gave us the option of changing her name.

What should her name be?

p.s. Don't expect any dog pictures from me; I don't have a scanner.

9. I like Swiftie ...
First of all it is a name the rhymes with Sweetie and she sounds like a Sweetie.

Secondly, it sort of describes her labrador/husky personality as in Swift (Able to move fast) Abilities... or as in quick to act or react.

But whatever you do decide to do regarding her name ... i know you will be in for many years of loving warmth as only these faithful creatures can give--they really ask for nothing in return.

13. I'm not crazy about Swiftie
but she's three- it would probably confuse her to change her name at this point.

15. My pet, Peeve
I have never used "Peeve" but I once had a black lab named "Bete noire". "Betty" was a great pet but she ate everything - stripped the kitchen of its wallpaper, pulled the rails out of the bannister. "Betty" really lived up to her licensed name.

16. OK, a serious answer.
If she's 3 and answers to Swiftie, it's gonna be damned hard to "change" her name.
