How many like Ovaltine?
Why does everyone rave about it? Personally, I don't like it?

2. Love it and will love it
I think it has to do with the fact that it is classy.

3. I like the "Rich Chocolate" flavor
but can't stand the malt flavors. I also like that it has no artificial sweeteners (carnation instant breakfast has aspertame) and it has quite a few vitamins and minerals. I also mix it pretty strong.

I'd love to see a strawberry flavor from them.

5. Why do they call it ovaltine?
The mug is round. The jar is round. They should call it roundtine. That's gold Jerry, gold!

6. It tastes like chocolate only when eaten out of the box. Mixed with milk,
it has no taste.

8. Drank it as a child...
...but then again, it wasn't my idea. Tried it again some years ago....yuck.

But Why Ovaltine, indeed? I was prompted to find out. Seems it started life as a nutritional supplement, Ovomaltine, and had a name change along the way.

10. I like Ovaltine.
I hardly ever drink chocolate milk, but I buy it for my kids.

It dissolves MUCH better than any other chocolate drink mix.

It makes good hot cocoa too (not as good as with real chocolate and cream, but hey).

15. I like it - a lot

But Ovaltine AKA Ovomaltine (as it is branded in Europe) is different in each country where it is sold. IMHO the Swiss version is best; I have never tried the US version.

Hint: use foamed milk, as you'd for cappuccino.

17. I like it
Before I began having middle aged wait gain problems and before herbal tea became popular, I used to drink Ovaltine in the evenings as a soothing pre-bedtime beverage.
