17. Aladdin and The Cat in the Hat !
Edited on Sun Dec-05-04 10:14 PM by Radio_Lady
One flick was very successful, the other was considered a flop! But these two movies are the most requested ones when I babysit for my grandchildren. I may be a senior citizen and I preview more than 200 films a year, but these are my guilty pleasures!

Robin Williams is a hoot as the genie; likewise Mike Meyers as The Cat. I know I'm in the minority because "Cat" got such poor ratings and mothers everywhere complained about the "erect hat" and "dirty hoe" lines. I thought the writing, production design and editing was terrific. And Alec Baldwin painted in purple -- my dream!

If you disagree with me, it's OK. Another reviewer once said, "Some people have their taste in their mouth." I understand... I think...

61. Yes it was released on video
and I am certain of this because a friend of mine who loves "Faster, Pussycat" owns a VHS copy of it that he bought directly from the director of the film, Russ Meyer. The box is even autographed by Russ Meyer. Unfortunately Meyer passed away this year. The local video store here carries most of Meyer's films for rent, and they all have commercial boxes. However I don't know how or where you can buy them, or who will get the rights to them now that Mr. Meyer has passed on. Most of Meyer's films are very softcore porn escapades filled with women with enormous breasts. "Faster Pussycat" is very unusual for him because it has no nudity or sex, but is filled with violence. You have to watch it several times to get everything that is in it. On the first viewing you are overwhelmed by the action and it isn't until the second viewing that you get to appreciate the script and dialogue.

I've been a certified movie junkie all my life, so the list could literally go on and on. There are many movies I will watch over and over again.

53. I kind of hate to admit it...
...but What's Up Doc is a movie I have watched many, many, many times.

Judy: You don't wanna marry someone who's gonna get all wrinkled, lined and flabby!
Howard: Everyone gets wrinkled, lined and flabby!
Judy: By next week?
=================

Eunice: Now, tell me how you are going to introduce yourself
Howard: What? Oh well, I'll probably say something like "Hello there Mr Larabee. I'm Howard."
Eunice: You are not.
Howard: I am not Howard.
Eunice: You are not going to say "Hi, my name's Howard" Anyone could say that! Anyone.
Howard: Anyone named Howard.

================

Madeline Kahn is just brilliant as "The Eunice Burns", and I believe that these are the finest roles Babs and Ryan O'Neal ever landed.

Edited on Mon Dec-06-04 03:13 AM by juliagoolia
All hilarious in their moments excellent acting and you just feel good when they are over

Kampmann's decision to tell "Stealing Home's" story via flashbacks is a tricky one to pull off but this film does it beautifully. The emotional rollercoaster that pulls us in is done without the director pandering to the obvious. Mark Harmon's performance as the disaffected, angst-ridden adult that young dreamer Billy Wyatt has become is unusually well-done, as are Jonathan Silverman and Harold Ramis' lovable versions of Appleby. "BE MY FRIEND!" Ah, memories.

And The dear moviet that caused me to buy the sound track for. Lovely movie about two very different' people that find a way to connect

Fifty Five Hoots a min about Twuu loooooove and being nearly dead all day and other seirous issues one faces in a fire swamp forest when stealing away a bride of a prince. A swachbuckler of a time.

(For y'all with your images turned off: The Poseidon Adventure )

Now, ask me to recite all the dialogue from memory -- I won't even cheat by checking my printout of the final script. But then, I'm kinda OCD about TPA. (Oh, God... that's freaking pathetic, isn't it?)

97. It's not a movie, per se, but Pride & Prejudice
The BBC miniseries with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle. I am watching it right now. It's an excellent accompaniment for cross stictching and other embroidery.

Also, Little Women (with Susan Sarandon!)

And the LOTR trilogy.
