am i just jaded or is the simpsons terrible these days?

i used to shut my life down on sunday nights to watch it up til about '98 or so, but then i got more and more sporadic in my viewing. these days, i don't even bother-until tonight, i tried, but it was just a juvenile mess.

am i just looking at the old episodes through rose-colored glasses of adolescence or has the show dropped in quality big time?

1. The new shows are so random and weird, I like random weird, so I think

they're great, the old episodes are better, but the new ones are good too. I think anyway. :shrug:

i agree with the poster who talked about randomness, and while i like that, it has to be done WELL; family guy does it perfectly, but it seems forced w/ the simpsons
