I have to admit, I like the "Phantom of the Opera". It's the only ALW that I like. So, although I was skeptical when I saw the POTO trailers (The phantom does NOT swordfight, dammit) I thought I'd give the new soundtrack a chance. Ugh. Why do they take something that was fine and try and modernize it. They added a freaking electric guitar to back up Emmy Rossum's voice. Not only does it completely drown her out sometimes, it's just annoying as hell. Bad Joel. BAD.

1. What are POTO and ALW?
I must live too far from Broadway.

3. Why must they take something good and screw it up......
because that is the American Way my dear!

I have to agree. I've seen the trailers. Hold your noses - this one looks like a stinker. I could be wrong....I hope so.

4. It's Joel. If this film flops, I lay it all at his feet.
I mean, we are talking about the guy who made "Batman & Robin". The guy has no talent; I can't figure out how he made it as a director.
