James Gandolfini says upcoming "final" Sopranos season may not be final
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,140575,00.html

Will there be another season of "The Sopranos" after the next one?

The show's creator and producer, David Chase, has said in the past that he wanted to stop after the upcoming sixth season.

But now, the Emmy-winning star of the show, James Gandolfini, says it's possible there will be more.

"You never know with David," he told me last night at the American Museum of the Moving Image dinner for John Travolta. "We don't start (filming the next season) until May because Edie (Falco, who plays Carmela) is doing a movie. I am, too, I guess, with John (Travolta). It starts in March. But nothing is definite about ending."

2. I'm a huge fan...
...so I hope it's true providing they still have good ideas for more episodes.

I was assuming there would be some sort of "resolution" at the end of the sixth season, with Tony either dead or locked up. If Gandolfini is talking about another season, I guess the sixth season doesn't end with Tony getting "whacked," at the very least.

3. There's also the "what if" surrounding a Sopranos movie, too..
...so whenever the series ends, I wouldn't place any serious bets on killing off Tony.

4. I luv the family. I'd like to see Tony get whacked (eventually). I wanna
...see Carmela take over the family, whack a few guys and be the PERFECT mafia bitch queen. Just imagine the dialouge: "...and do you know why you're in jail, Tony? 'Cause you stick your dick in anything that walks. Wave goodbye to your father, A.J."

In a suprise move today, James Galdonfini announced that since he is unable to find other work due to lack of ability, he has determined that ten million dollars for working six weeks a year is not that bad of a paycheck. "I've found me a nice gravy train," Gandolfini told Access Hollywood, "every time I say I'm quitting, they pay me more money for less work. Why would I ever quit, plus it's not like I can do anything else." Immediately following this announcement, Gandolfini's agent denied the quote, "James is a brilliant, talented actor who is constantly being sought for productions, from Red Hook to Menlo Park. He is tired of being seen by hundreds of thousands of people six times a year, and longs to return to the community musical theatre where he belongs. We just want to remind HBO that there are plenty of gigs avaliable for typecast overweight middle aged Italian actors, and James wants to pursue both of them."

HBE executives were not avaliable for comment at this time.
