Best sound in the world?
For me its when I finally print out a paper i've been stressing about for weeks. I love the sound of the printer.

4. Mine:
The sound of Doug, lightly breathing, as we're asleep in bed together. It's a sound that all is right in the world and I'm with the person I most want to be with. :-)

9. Oh, god.
You have just succeeded in making me soooo lonely for my ex-boyfriend. It's been over a week since I got dumped, and I would give just about anything to feel his warm breath on the back of my neck as I fall asleep.

That's just what happens when you get dumped. You walk around for a little while like a big open wound and even the stupidest love songs can take your breath away with pain.

Not your fault in the least. I am happy that you have such a sweet relationship.

21. How long have you been together?
Because I remember feeling that way. But since my partner of 13 years has started sounding like Darth Vader having an asthma attack when breathing at night, fondness isn't what comes to mind.

And last night he was facing me but with his head slightly tilted up so that his breath was hitting right on my face. Not cool, I had to turn over.

Eh.

23. 5 years.
We're only together a few days each month (we have a long distance relationship), so it's even more special.

17. A train whistle in the middle of the night
but not a LONG train whistle.

A train whistle reminds me of the long nights I put in getting my degree (at the end) and how in the middle of the night I knew someone else was out there working hard too.

25. Let's see
lonely-sounding train whistles. The house settling at night.

My daughter's giggle. Silence. Husband and I whispering together with morning-husky voices. Rain, thunder.

The wind chimes outside my bedroom window.

Toast popping up. Popcorn popping. A cork being pulled out of a wine or champagne bottle. Cries of "congratulations!" People singing "Happy Birthday."

Zippers. A coke can being opened. Strong winds when I'm inside.

The crunch of snow under my feet. The sound of dipping oars.
