850 turbo wagon, all the options, 10 years old with 130,000 miles on it. I just spent $1100 on brakes, new front axles, general maintenance, etc. and it drives like new.

I'll drive that car 'til the wheels come off. And maybe even after. Man, I love this freaking car.

It's got 140,000 miles on it. Been putting some money into it lately. But now she runs niiice.

7. Absolutely not

I bought my baby a couple of years ago when my partner came off the road (he was an IT consultant). I paid cash for it. What a bargain. There was some work to be done (isn't there always?) but the engine runs strong and reliable. And I can do much of my own work, since the engine box is still pretty big on the 850.

I bought my 1991 three years ago. Spent $680 on it the last year. Now she's good for another 20,000 before I have to put on brake pads.

So sweet. Now if they will just make a hybrid . . .
