Do you single folks decorate your apartment or house |
|
for the holidays? It seems like so much trouble so I'm trying to decide what to do this year. It'll seem so drab if I don't.

2. We have a tiny Christmas tree as soon as you enter |
|
It's kind of cute. By we, I mean me and my two other guy roommates

3. Last year I brought my tree up from storage, but it never made it out |
|
of the box. I am undecided this year. I do love the lights though.

A halfhearted attempt at being festive.

this is my first Christmas in the new condo so I bought a slim 7 1/2 foot tree for a corner of my living room. (in the apartment I had a very nice, very slim 6 ft tree). I also have a very nice wreath on the door that my Mom gave me.
I always decorate for Christmas and guests that come over expect to see a tree. Years ago my Mother crocheted a bunch of beautiful snowflake ornaments for my tree and I wouldn't think of not displaying them every year.

6. Why wouldn't single people decorate? |
|
I'm very confused by the original post.

7. I dunno. Just wondered. I'm single and every |
|
year I have to decide whether I want to go to the trouble to do all of that. After I do, I'm always glad. I don't entertain a lot, guess that's why I even hesitate.

I guess I don't feel like it's worth the time and trouble -- it's just me. I'm not worth it.

9. I grew up Jewish, so there never was much decorating at my house |
|
When married, we'd sometimes decorate a potted pine tree, but because we almost always left town for the holidays, we didn't bother doing much.
Now that I'm single again, I'm reverting to Jewish tradition and maybe I'll light the menorah, but that's about it.

10. Depends on the holiday |
|
and on the person. I have Halloween decorations and costumes. I had an old roommate who loved decorating for Christmas.
It's about what you want to do. :)

12. I'm not going to this year |
|
This is my first Chritmas in my new place, but I'm not going to decorate. I have very few visitors and nobody else lives with me. What's the point? If I had a mate or even a pet I might consider it, but I just don't want to go through the trouble just for myself.
