Stuff Tourists Buy - Obscene T-shirts

What happens to people on vacation? Do they just leave their scrupples at home. Go to any location on the globe frequented by english-speaking tourists and you will find scores of t-shirts for sale with not-so-funny off-color text and images.

Here in NYC we have one that says "F__ You, You F__ing F__" -- who in their right mind buys that?! But I get it. You go to NYC you want to take home something that fits into the David Letterman hyper-NYC of the middle American mind. Something you can't buy at WalMart. In Tijuana they sell what looks like a coca-cola logo only it says "coma caca" (eat poop) and they have been selling that T-shirt for decades.

But you go to Prague; 1000 years of culture and civilization stacked on top of each other. Music in the streets, gorgeous architecture, art museums and the t-shirts? "the man (arrow pointing up), the legend (arrow to pants).

2. Saw a T-shirt at a concert last night

This was a Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert, mind you. Audience all over the map in terms of age, gender, etc.

Late teens / early twenties kid wearing a black T-shirt with two hands pictured on it. The first hand is flipping the bird, the second is pointing "out" towards you.

Don't know if he got it on vacation, though!
