Anyone else's cats TV fiends?
One of our cats has figured out how to turn on the TV and now turns it on everytime we go out. The first few times I thought maybe I had left it on when I went out, but now I'm sure it's one of them. When I walk in the door, they are all sitting around it just watching with blank stares. So I guess I'll have to start unplugging it now.

1. Well as long as
they are not watching FOX or CNN, maybe they have some good shows they enjoy?

4. I once had a cat
that would chase animals that appeared on nature programs. On program in particular was about marmots in Glacier National Park. Every time a marmot shot across the scree and out of the picture the cat would go nuts looking behind the TV for the thing.

6. It really depends on what they're watching ; )
They may like the noise and movement. Can't hurt anything, and TV's don't use much electricity.

When I catsit for my neighbor, I always turn on the TV for a few hours so it's not so quiet. They seem to respond to it because it's always on when she's home.

7. a lot of people I know leave TVs, radio, or tapes on for their cats
They believe that it helps break up the boredom.

It's better (and cheaper) than having dogs chew up your slippers, isn't it?

8. Mine likes the answering machine
I've tried everythng to get the cat to leave my answering machine alone. She's always listening to the messages!

I thought it was the blinking light, so I put a piece of tape over it... didn't work. LOL!!

What kind of humans are we that our lives are ruled by small, furry creatures?
