Poll question: The Simpsons or South Park?
I think South Park is funnier in a lot of ways because it can go places The Simpsons just can't, when it comes to content.

7. I agree, but if I had to go strictly on the two most recent episodes
I'd say South Park, because that Paris Hilton episode had me laughing so hard I couldn't breathe :)

3. Simpsons. Even now.
Considering that they've both rather effectively jumped the shark.

SP hasn't been funny since the first couple of seasons. All the shock value has worn off. Now they're just a dumbed down editorial cartoon.

4. Simpsons
To me, the "offend everybody" shows like SP get old after a short while.

5. The Simpsons
because, like music, entertainment is sometimes improved by being limited to certain content. It prevents a show from hiding it's flaws behind novelty
