why are americans so fat?
Edited on Tue Dec-07-04 01:17 AM by fryguy
because only we could come up with something so nasty as this to put in our bodies.....

Hardee's Introduces the "Monster Thickburger"

That's two 1/3-pound slabs of all-Angus beef, four strips of bacon, three slices of cheese and mayonnaise on a buttered sesame seed bun. Wieghing in at 1,420 calories and 107 grams of fat...

yum-yum coranary blackage on a bun!

13. that 1400+ calories for a single meal...
...is considerably more than what much of the world survives a day on....in fact, in some countries it is several times what people are able to eat....so, much like our rampant over-consumption of energy, we consume well beyond what is necessary to the point that could only be referred to as glutonous....

1400 calories is considerable less than the 2000 recommended ;)

15. funny thing is
i'm a meat eater, but that hamburger looks like crap and is so overloaded with stuff as to make it no longer taste like a good hamburger - even leaving behind the issue of fat and caloric intake...

....a well prepared hamburger should need nothing more than a bun a little ketchup and a pickle....once you start adding bacon, cheese, mayo and buttering the roll, you're no longer tasting the meat but all the condiments - so what does it matter that you're using angus beef...that's what, in addition to the resulting unhealthiness of the sandwich with so much crap on it, makes it nasty....

but if that's what you like to eat - god bless you and have at it

28. I don't see why it's such a big deal that Hardee's has one of these.
Braum's has had them for quite awhile now. Two 1/3 slabs of meat on a bun with lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion and bacon. It's the same thing, and it looks better! And they serve theirs with a 22 ounce shake and krinkle fries. If you guys don't know what Braum's is, it's an Ice Cream and Dairy store that also has fast food. They are out of Tuttle, Oklahoma, and their milk is the best I've ever had in my life. The Skim actually tastes like 2%, the 2% tastes like Whole, and the whole is so rich, it's sooo good with Chocolate cake! Their secret is that they concentrate it.
