Ladies, we might as well prepare for life in Jesusland
Check this out.

These fundie gals will help you to rid yourself of that evil secular liberal feminism that is preventing you from properly submitting to your husband and our Godly Prez-ident's Holy Mandate.

1. Hmmm
noticed nothing about women working outside the home. Wonder if this site will also lobby for living wages for workers, since it will no longer be possible for a two wage earner household.

These people would probably croak, but the articles on modesty of dress could have come from a Muslim forum, if you changed citations from the Bible to the Qur'an.... Speaking of modesty, why isn't this site going after the TV shows that depict scantily clad women and men?

Girls should stay home, they say. They should stay under their fathers' protection, not go to college, and prepare for the vocation of marriage.

They really are working hand-in-hand with the repukes to dumb down this country.

14. I thought I had found one... but sadly not.
As soon as I saw their bookstore, with every title from Spence Publishing, I don't think it's a parody anymore.

Spence is the kind of publisher who doesn't sell to wholesalers or offer their books to the book press to review.

That's a VERY bad sign.

OTOH, it's almost too over-the-top, and the book linkds don't work.

Perhaps there's hope.

27. On the other hand
Looking noticeably feminine does not necessarily mean that one is not a feminist either. Expression of sexuality in terms of external image does not diminish a woman's mind in any way either. Plenty of women here may fit into a mold like this (albeit with less hair spray and the occasional Birkenstocks :D) that are very, very aware people at the same time.
Just saying. :)

32. Yeah, but feminists wear PANTS.
Those are men's clothing, you know!

My daughter's best friend has gone Pentecostal. She now wears only skirts, has stopped wearing makeup, and won't cut her hair. Her boyfriend (fiance! they are only seniors in high school!) doesn't want her to cut her hair. She has told my daughter that she can't get to heaven unless she feels the Holy Spirit in her (i.e. that speaking in tongues jazz).

This is a girl who used to be just like my daughter, who is a very liberal young woman, left wing Lutheran, definitely independent of any "good subservient woman" ideas. My daughter and I were discussing it yesterday, and I only hope she hangs onto her own ideas and doesn't succumb to the same influence that "conservatized" her friend. She did visit her friend's church once and didn't like it.

Teach Your Children Well
Let your Congressmen know, no mandatory mental-health screening for children!
Urge your two U.S. senators to support the Paul language to the omnibus spending bill. The language is as follows: "None of the funds made available for State incentive grants for transformation should be used for any programs of mandatory or universal mental-health screening that performs mental-health screening on anyone under 18 years of age without the express, written permission of the parents or legal guardians of each individual involved."

Since she and Ron were fornicating before Ronnie's divorce from Jane Wyman had been finalized. SINNERS. I remember reading that Nancy was a bit of a Hollywood Ho back in the day. And then there is the contention that she was pregnant before she and Ron tied the knot. UBBER-SINNERS!

33. The site looks real enough.
Even if this particular site turned out to be a parody, believe me, there ARE women out there who believe like this. I've seen message boards in which women ask for advice on how to quell their "rebellious" feelings and submit to their husbands' control as the head of the household. I've seen message boards where women ask how to discourage their daughters from going to college. I've seen message boards where women are requested to seek permission from their husbands before posting.

The people are real and the movement is frightening.
