Man, it is simple: don't act like an asshole, then you won't be treated like one - no flag will change that.

And yeah, lot's of assholes in Europe as well, but I'd be surprised, should even half of them be able to tell Canada and the US apart.

when I first went to Europe everybody I met asked me what part of Canada I was from. They just could not believe that a Dutchman would marry an American.

Naw -- we hate your foreign policy and we hate Bush. It's a compliment that you think they'll love us in Yurp! Not to hurt your feelings but we were raised not to brag about our country. We almost apologize for being an insignificant unimportant country, but when we travel we become ostentaciously Canadian so they won't treat us badly thinking we are American! Eveybody WANTS to love yu but your foreign policy really does stink!
