Christmas Shopping, Day Two: I can't feel my debit card anymore.
At night, I dream of changing store hours. It is getting hard to keep my secrets from the natives, who watch my every coming and going with piercing eyes. The overlord is making threatening movements...I fear he will soon take my checkbook. And always, always, the white, near blinding storm of receipts. I fear all will be lost in my mission to budget for Christmas. :scared:

7. We have a little room off the bathroom in the basement that has a
padlock on it. It's just hard to get the stuff down there without the "eyes" watching. :hi:

2. you've started shopping?
I can't even seem to get in the mood for it this year at all. I have absolutely zero ideas for my kids this year. They are almost 4 and almost 7 and I have nothing in mind. I don't like to get them a lot of little stuff, they usually on get three or four things each. I just can't get my brain in gear to come up with anything. Can you come to my house and go shopping with me? Please?

:hi:

3. I'm done.
I'm done shopping, and almost everything is wrapped also.

Usually I'm still running out for something the day before Christmas Eve!

5. It's a good thing there isn't a raspberry smiley to give you!
No, I'm kidding. That's great. For most of my life, I've been highly organized in my work and in my home, but these past few months, I don't know what happened. I always feel a step behind for some reason. Oh well, I know it will all get done somehow. :hi:

6. Years ago, my brother and I used to have a "tradition."
Our family opens presents on Christmas Eve, after dinner. Back when my brother and I were both single, we'd barge into our parents' house on Christmas Eve morning, look at each other in a panic, and run off to the mall. Those whirlwind shopping trips together actually became kind of fun and we started to look forward to them. :)

4. Mine are the same ages as yours more or less. We are mainly going
with movies, video games, game boys etc because we have too many larger toys in the house already. I will try to talk Hubby Claus into buying some lego sets, though. *g*

8. If I could I would. That would be a blast!!! Though I can't stand shopping
Having someone to shop with would be fun. PassingFair had to go and get a day job. :( My son is six and we got him one of those scale remote control monster trucks. We'll see how that goes. ;)

12. I go in the stores and my mind just buzzes. No ideas. No thoughts.
It's almost scary. MrG needs this thing. That's all I can call it is a thing. It's a tool...a thermineter something or other for checking AC/DC or something. I cut out a picture handed it to the Sears guy and whimpered,"Help....?" :hi:

11. Hey MrsGrumpy
Nothing much to add, but just wanted to say hi. :hi: I haven't been on much and haven't seen you around. If it helps, you don't have to buy me anything this year.
