----THE GANG OF FOUR are to reform for a UK tour.

The legendary British post-punk agitators have enjoyed a critical revival in recent years with new bands like Futureheads, Bloc Party and Franz Ferdinand citing them as a massive influence.-----

Wow.

I saw them once and it was one of the best shows I ever saw.

5. I've seen them too.
At a place called the "Holiday Ballroom" in Chicago. It's the only show that anyone ever played there, to the best of my knowledge.

Had a friend who worked for the company that printed the tickets. Need I say more.

7. FUCK YEAH!
I saw their last reunion tour in like '95-'96ish, and was blown completely the fuck away. It was an electrifying show - I hope they've still got it, and that they hit the US.

10. There's something depressing about punk and post-punk reunion shows.
:evilfrown:

But they were a great band.

13. Me say me kyan hyelp it.
I just have the image of the last punk reunion show I saw, of an obscure Boston band called the Stains. The singer sat on the stage for half the show trying to catch his breath.

12. So true. But if any band can transcend that feeling......
It's Gang of Four. The material just seems so timeless, I don't think it matters.

16. I guess this kinds trumps the Motley Crue reunion huh?

That choking sound you heard was me when I first read this headline (below)

Motley Crue reunite for world tour
http://www.rte.ie/arts/2004/1207/motleycrue.html

I have heard a lot of great things about the Gang of Four (all time top 10 greatest band names for sure) but I have never really listened to them.
