Another posting from my favorite non-political web site, showing the music that was popular in the New York area 40 years ago today. - Wayne

SPECIAL NOTES: No play on the following: #29 ("The Wedding"),
#31 ("The Jerk"), or #37 ("Boom Boom").

The album cuts on this week's survey come from the Beatles' U.K. album, "Beatles For Sale." Many of the cuts would shortly appear on the next U.S. Beatles album, "Beatles '65." (Oddly, the Beatles' next U.S. single, "Eight Days a Week," b/w "I Don't Want to Spoil the Party," appears on "Beatles For Sale," but neither side is one of the featured cuts this week.)

WABeatleC will give progress reports on Ringo's health, as his tonsils are removed (Wednesday, 2 December 1964). His voice is not likely to be affected. "Keep listening to WABeatleC for updates!"

2. Unfortunately, yes.
From 1960-1982, WABC was a Top 40 station. It went News/Talk 22-1/2 years ago, alas. :(

4. That was the week I was born
And I guess I was born in the New York area (Connecticut would be considered that wouldn't it?). Good thing I didn't hear that Bobby Vinton song or I might have decided not to come out.
