5500+ US troops have deserted in Iraq. I haven't found an article, has anyone else heard this.
Tonight, 60 Minutes will interview deserters in Canada.:eyes:

1. I think that includes many categories

I would imagine very few deserters are actually deserters from Iraq seeing as how unsafe it would be for an American, and a GI at that, in the Middle East right now. The 5,500 number would also include IRR troops who have not reported for duty, troops in the US who skipped town before being deployed, like that guy in San Diego yesterday and perhaps several more who slipped into Canada from the US like Jeremy Hinzman.
